Ms Chaney, I am a friend of Rick's from college (Lowell). I had fallen out of touch with Rick for just a few years... sadly, at the time he passed. So, I didn't find out about it right away and never had a chance to pay my respects.
Finding this website was wonderful. You've done a marvelous job! And please accept my extremely belated sympathies. Also, please know that Rick touched me very deeply. Though we fell out of touch, we were extremely close friends. We were roommates at off-campus apartments for several years. I managed out intramural softball team, of which Rick was an avid participant; and Rick coached our intramural volleyball team on which I played. We graduated in the same class, in meteorology, together. We shared a passion for music and deep theological and philosophical discussions. (In fact, to this day, I still have some records Rick gave to me!)
We were the best of friends and Rick was a spectacular, wonderful, caring, loving, hysterical funny, beautiful person. He is missed dearly & I regret falling out of touch with him and not having a chance to pay my respects in a timely manner.
Thank you for sharing Rick's life with us through this web site.
